“Sorolla. A vision of Spain” prolongs its stay in Malaga

Given the number of people who have visited the exhibition: “Sorolla: A Vision of Spain” in Malaga, it will be kept open for a further two days, and the opening hours will be increased as of tomorrow. That means the exhibition will be open to the public until September 23rd so that all the visitors from the Malaga area will be able to enjoy the sights of the 14 canvases by the brilliant painter.

Furthermore, the opening hours will also be changed as of tomorrow: the museum will open every day, including Monday, from 10:00 to 02:00 hours.

Since the exhibition was opened at the Museum for Contemporary Art in Malaga on July 18th, the “Sorolla: A Vision of Spainhas been widely accepted. Proof of this is that the organisation has increased the opening hours on several different occasions to provide a wider and better service to the citizens.

This week, visitor 100,000 has been to the exhibition. This figure is added to the successful route of the painting that kicked off in Valencia. In the capital of the River Turia, “Sorolla: A Vision of Spain” accommodated over 450,000 visitors. In Seville nearly 135,000 people visited the exhibition, and with the 100,000 visitors in Malaga, the exhibition has become the one that most visitors has attracted in the history of Spain with approximately 685,000 visitors.

The affluence of visitors to the exhibition organised by Bancaja at CAC over the last days has been 2500 visitors per day. After 19:00 hours long queues form to enter the exhibition.
